Dr. Carr is Professor and Chair of Emergency Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and for the Mount Sinai Health System. He is board certified in EM and fellowship trained in surgical critical care. After clinical training, he completed training in health policy research as a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar. His research examines the association between emergency care system design and outcomes with a focus on unplanned critical illness and innovation in acute care delivery.

Dr. Wong attended Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and obtained his Emergency Medicine residency training at NYU & Bellevue Hospitals Center in New York City, serving as chief resident physician in his final year. He subsequently completed a medical simulation fellowship at NYU School of Medicine and received a Master of Science in Health Professions Education at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. His research interests focus on systems science, safety/quality, agitation management, and behavioral care in the emergency department.
